KAR is Kate & Adam Rice.
Kate & Adam are award winning wildlife & nature photographers who seek to leave their viewers with a lasting connection to the spirit of wildlife. Originally from Northern Minnesota, Kate & Adam fell in love with the untamed land of the American West after a honeymoon road trip to Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks after which they relocated out west.
Kate & Adam are NANPA (North American Nature Photography Association) members and wildlife stewards who practice the highest ethical standards and photography etiquette. All images are taken in the wild of non-captive animals. Wildlife is never baited, lured, or called.
Our goal is to take you on an adventure that transcends the mere animal to give you a glimpse into the spirit of the wild and explore the beauty of creation. After discovering our mutual love for photography and wildlife while we were dating in Northern Minnesota, our obsession with wildlife materialized on our honeymoon roadtrip to Yellowstone where we acknowledged our fascination with all things wild was bordering on obsession. The photography became less about simply taking photos but more about telling a story and wanting to share that story with the world. Soon after our honeymoon we found ourselves moving westward knowing creating a window into the natural world would be a lifelong journey. We feel the connection with wildlife that resonates within us, which we now seek to create for others through our images, safaris, and workshops. Please allow us to take you on a journey into the heart of the wild.
